- Who it’s for
- An apartment puppy under 15 pounds, or a senior who can no longer wait for the elevator, who needs real grass indoors.

Editor's note. Leads this shelf because it is the one product here that is a potty-training surface rather than a clean-up for the misses: real grass, the scent a puppy or a senior already recognises. Its star rating is the lowest on the shelf, and the reason is in the reviews — it is a perishable that ships, so condition on arrival varies by season and by carrier. We rank it first anyway, because for an apartment puppy, an unvaccinated one, or a senior who cannot wait for the elevator it is the answer to the question this shelf exists for, and the bags and cleaners below it are the answer to a different one.
The verdict
Real grass, delivered, disposed of whole. The reason it works where fake turf fails is scent: a puppy learning the rule and a senior relearning it both recognise grass, and the manufacturer describes the patch as absorbent with natural odour control for a couple of weeks of use. It is a consumable, which is the honest trade: no washing a pad, but a recurring cost. It earns its place by solving one specific problem: a dog who cannot get outside in time.
