The verdict
The tracker built as a collar rather than a pod clipped to one, which is why it stays on. Fi state live nationwide location with no range limit, escape alerts when a dog leaves a drawn safe zone, and Lost Dog Mode that switches to rapid updates so you can follow a path rather than refreshing a dot. Activity, sleep and behaviour monitoring come with it, which quietly turns into a useful long-term record — a change in resting patterns is often the first sign an older dog is uncomfortable. IP68, a stainless frame, an LED for night visibility and wireless charging. Fi now sells the collar as hardware only, with the membership required and bought separately, so budget for the plan on top of the collar. Owners praise the battery life and setup, and split on GPS accuracy and value — which is fair, because coverage varies by area.
