The pragmatic entry point. Perfect dental care is daily brushing; realistic dental care is whatever your dog will actually tolerate this month, and for many dogs that starts as a gel smeared along the gumline with a finger. Vet's Best formulate this with aloe, neem oil, grapefruit seed extract, baking soda and enzymes, with no fluoride and no rinsing needed, in a mild mint that most dogs accept. It now comes in a squeeze tube, which is easier to control than a jar. Owners report cleaner teeth, fresher breath and easy application. Use it as a staging post rather than a destination: once your dog is happy with a finger along the gumline, the brush is a small next step, and the brush is what actually disrupts plaque.
